Southern blot analysis of the patient and of control females. EcoRI and EagI double digested DNA samples hybridized with radioactive-labelled Stb12.3 probe were used for Southern blot analysis. Black arrows indicated the 2.8 kb unmethylated and the 5.2 kb methylated fragments. For the index patient (red arrow) we can define two copies of 5.2 kb methylated fragments and one copy of 2.8 kb unmethylated fragment. For all controls we identified two normal alleles (2,8 kb unmethylated and 5.2 kb methylated) characteristic for two normal X chromosomes
